To promote the science and practice of anaesthesia, critical care and affiliate specialties in Hong Kong;

To promote the improvement of standards of service and care in anaesthesia, critical care and affiliate specialties in Hong Kong;

To promote and support training and continuing education in anaesthesia, critical care and its affiliate specialties;

To promote the exchange and furtherance of knowledge and expertise in anaesthesia, critical care and affiliate specialties with professional bodies with like objects in Hong Kong and internationally; 

To promote and support public education and knowledge in anaesthesia and basic life support; and

To uphold and safeguard the honour, status, professional conduct and ethical code of anaesthetists in Hong Kong for the benefit of the public welfare.
